FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are you based?

We are London based and this is where most of our filming occurs. We are happy to travel if necessary however, we charge travel expense for non-London locations.

Are you filming showreels on weekends and bank holidays?

Yes, weekend and bank holiday slots are available for an additional 20% charge above the package price.

Do you provide scene partners?

We are happy to source you suitable scene partners however, it might cost an additional fee. We would advise you to advertise this opportunity in Facebook groups like ‘Actors UK’ or ‘The Hustle!’. Actors are constantly looking to update their showreel so you are likely to find willing scene partners at no additional cost to you.

Are you filming in 4K?

Yes, since the end of 2019 we are filming all of our showreel scenes in 4K.

Can I split the cost if I provide my own scene partner?

Yes, absolutely. Our displayed prices are per scene, not per actor and you are welcome to bring your own scene partner.

Do I need a scene partner?

Not at all. You can have a great showreel scene on your own. There are plenty of options for a solo scene; talking to a grave or photo, speaking on the phone or to yourself in the mirror, to mention a few. You can watch some of our solo scenes we produced in the past as an inspiration below:

Do you provide bespoke scripts for each scene, or I have got to choose from pre-written scripts?

We provide bespoke scripts for every showreel scene we produce. It will be based on your personal requirements to allow you to show your best qualities.

Can I have changes in my script?

Yes, you can always ask minor changes (if you are not happy with a certain line for example) at no extra cost. If you need a bigger rewrite (after confirmation of the brief) there is a script rewriting fee which is £30 for a New Hope script, £40 for a Rise script and £65 for a Hollywood script.

Can I bring my own script?

Yes, you can however, we will have to confirm that it is suitable.

Do you provide direction?

Yes, we do. When we arrive on location we will start with the blocking and rehearsals with as much  direction if required.

How much time do you allocate for filming?

We allocate 2 hours for a New Hope scene, 4 hours for a Rise scene and 6 hours for an Empire scene , including set up, blocking and rehearsals.

What happens if we are running over the allocated shooting time?

Do not worry, we are not going to stop filming and leave if the allocated time has passed. However, unless the delay is directly our fault, there is a £45 per hour per crew member overtime fee.

What happens if it is raining on the day?

Well, this is the UK so rain is always possible. But fear not, unless the scene particularly requires dry weather, we can film in the rain. For a lot of showreel scenes, it could be a great addition.

How long after filming does it take to edit the scenes?

Unless otherwise advised, we provide the fully edited scenes within 10 working days after the filming.

Do you provide individual edits for each actors?

We provide one edit that is suitable to use for all actors in the scene. Our scripts are normally designed to give all cast an equal share of solo screen time, allowing them all to use the same scene. If an actor wishes to have an individually tailored cut that favours them in the entire scene, it can be done for a fee of £35 per scene.

Can I have the original footage?

We do not give out the rushes due to quality control and the large size of data however, if there is any particular bit in the scene where you are not happy with your performance, we can send you a small size proxy video of alternative takes for that particular bit.

Do you provide music for the scenes?

Yes, we do. We have a large library of free-to-use music that will be added where appropriate.

Do you provide the location?

We can provide the location, but this would likely incur additional costs to you as a result of rental fees. Therefore, we highly recommend you secure your own locations by asking friends, family, etc, as this would be more cost-effective.

Do you provide costumes and props?

No, we do not. Costumes and props will be your responsibility.

Can I reschedule or cancel my showreel filming?

Once booked we do not accept cancellations. However, we allow free reschedule of the filming date with a minimum of 1 month notice. If we are within the 1 month, there is a rescheduling fee of £70 per scene for New Hope scenes, £85 per scene for Rise scenes and £135 per scene for Empire scenes, plus the 50% of the time related travel fee, if the filming takes place outside of London.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my package once it is booked in?

Yes, you can upgrade your package, but please allow enough notice to write the additional scenes. You can also downgrade if you have to, but there is a downgrade fee to cover the extra booking time of the crew and the cost of the unused script which is £30 for a New Hope scene, £40 for a Rise scene and £65 for an Empire scene.

How do I book/pay for my scenes?

For booking, we require a 25% non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance will be due one working day before your shoot, payable by bank transfer.
